Match report Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, is one of the official residences of Her Majesty The Queen. The Castle's dramatic site encapsulates 900 years of British history. It was originally built by William the Conqueror, who reigned from 1066 until his death in 1087. His original wooden castle stood on the site of the present Round Tower.

The magnificent State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works of art from the Royal Collection, including paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Canaletto and Gainsborough. Also St George's Chapel is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England. It is the spiritual home of the Order of the Garter, the senior order of British Chivalry established in 1348 by Edward III. Within the chapel are the tombs of ten sovereigns, including Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour, and Charles I.

Enough of this history lesson and onto the game itself where a weakened Phoenix side went to battle with a decent side from Windsor. Sanjeev stood in as skipper for the day and as courtesy befits tradition offered Windsor to bat first since everyone had given up their day to play cricket. Nothing more to be said as Phoenix learnt many a lesson from a one hundred and sixty seven run defeat. In the bar after the game the beers as well as the banter was flowing and both captains shook hands and agreed to honour this fixture next season.

The man of the match award goes to Naresh for an impressive debut as he took a wicket, took two catches and made some runs. The half man and half amazing BDM Amazer award goes to Jazz who 'high fived' the bowler who was celebrating when getting him out.

A special thanks to Windsor who always are tremendous hosts with great facilities, an excellent square and splendid teas . As for Phoenix, Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching. In a ninety over game they offered the batting to the opposition and tried their level most to be competitive.
