Match report Beat Crowethorne & Crownwood by 134 runs. On winning the toss the opposition put us into bat and they opened their attack with their 1st team bowlers. They bowled beautifully with swing, pace and control as they didnt bowl a ball on the legs in 16 overs. Kully & Prince battled through with Kully trying not to halt the scoring by hitting the odd and not so odd loose ball for four. After 14.2 overs we were 53 when we lost Prince. The runs then started to flow as both Kully and Lav upped the tempo when finally we lost them both in the same over.

Kully was out for 89 (inc 12 fours & 1 six) with his square cut & straight driving on show like a peacock on heat and Lav was out for 61 (inc 6 fours & 2 sixes) as they put on a 132 run partnership for the 2nd wicket. We then had a cameo performance who hit 30 off just 14 balls that included 1 four and 2 sixes to get us to 232. Mention to Lav who last picked up a bat for Phoenix in 2012 hitting back to back centuries then and then making fifty in his next inning.

We came to field knowing we have to be on top of our game to beat this side. Rowdy was on fire and was swinging like it was the sixties. In his fired up heat he took a hat-trick as he bowled 3 batsmen with identical deliveries - ball swinging in from just outside off stump to hitting the middle stump. He ended up with 5 wickets from what was a sublime spell of fast swing bowling.

We then finally managed to bowl them out after dropping 8 consecutive catches - we need to improve on this!!
