Match report Beat OMT by 6 wickets. On a near perfect playing conditons the sun was out, the wicket dry but the outfield wasnt slightly slow with one huge boundary on one side of the wicket. Sanj as per usual for this season lost the toss and was asked to use the new ball first. Prince opened the bowling kept the run rate low with discipline lines & lengths and Baljit took the early wicket via a top slip catch by Sethi but that was as good as it got. At the 20 overs drinks break. OMT were cruising being 100 for 1 as most of the bowlers couldn't deal with two left handed batsman. Sanjeev then made the breakthrough and soon after Phoenix did well to restrict the scoring to only 187. Aman Maan bowled beautifully to keep up the pressure and Mannu picked up 4 wickets as he went through the tail. Note to Sanj taking his first catch of the season which was not off his own bowling .. a beauty of catch as the ball thundered towards him at cover.

The run chase started well with Vishal & Sethi putting on 65 for the first wicket. Sethi & Jay both made fifties, with Sethi making 55 off 54 balls which included 5 fours and a six and Jay making 60 off 56 balls which included 6 fours and a six. With the outfield slowing up and the boundary not easily reached especially with using the ball from the OMT innings, many singles and twos were run. Ali Haider came in and wrapped up the win as we cruised to victory by hitting 36 off 44 balls which to our amazement include just the one four but 3 sixes.

With all the running we did between the wickets the team must of read or either watch the movei The Maze Runner, which is the first book in a young-adult post-apocalyptic dystopianscience fiction trilogy of the same name by James Dashner. The novel was published on October 6, 2009, by Delacorte Press, an imprint of Random House, and was made into a 2014 major motion picture by 20th Century Fox. The novel spawned two sequels: The Scorch Trials (2010) and The Death Cure (2011). Dashner also wrote a prequel to The Maze Runner, entitled The Kill Order, that came out in 2012. He also announced that another prequel, The Fever Code, is set to be released in 2016.
