Match report Beat GSK by 17 runs. Second game of the weekend saw us beat GSK by 17 runs in a tight fought game as we defended 221 by bowling out the opposition with just one over to spare.

We won the toss & batted first on this hot day and we posted 221 of our 35 overs. Batting highlights were Vikas Haripuriya holding the innings together making 6️6 off 67 balls which included 10 fours & a six, Rajinder Chouhan giving us the impetus making 40 off 29 balls which included 5 fours & a six, Mannu Singh quick fire 36 off 24 balls which included 2 fours & 2 sixes and Hitesh Pabari with 28 off 26 balls which included 4 fours.

Bowling & fielding was inconsistent and we made an easy defence of a score into a troubled one. Once again too many dropped catches and poor fielding nearly became our Achilles Heal but in the key stages at the end of the match we held onto our chances. All the bowlers took wickets but BaBa Bunty Tejvir took 3-20 off his 5 overs and Sanjeev Kumar had figures of 3-36 off his 7 overs.

With 425 runs scored, 15 wickets falling & the game going into the final over is what cricket is all about. It’s all about teamwork & everyone contributing regardless of the result. As usual we celebrate with Beer.
