Match report Game 29 🆚 Hillingdon Manor is our local derby & alas we didn’t come out on top. The opposition chased 163 to win with 4 wickets & 6 overs to spare.

We just didn’t score enough runs as only 2 batsman went to double figures & the next highest score was extras. Rajkaran Aulakh made a solid 5️7 off 57 balls which included 6 fours & 3 sixes and was followed by Nick Desouza who smashed 40 off 34 balls which included 9 fours. Sanjeev Kumar showed the batsman how to defend with another resolute innings as he stayed solid & rotated the strike allowing Nick to score freely.

We started poorly in the field as we conceded 57 in 7 overs but Arjun Kashyap stemmed the tide with an excellent opening spell of 4 overs 2 maidens 3 wickets for 6 runs. The pressure was on but a missed chance of Sanj’s bowling was crucial as we couldn’t continue to prevent the runs or take wickets.

Second week in a row where we played with 10 men as another drop out on the morning of the game. We need to improve drastically and start playing & respecting the badge we are wearing. Simply not good enough comes to mind.
