Match report Beat to Bracknell by 137 runs. Sanjeev won the toss for the first time this season and on a rain threatening afternoon opted to bat first to the glee of all the team. Another disappointing batting display was on the cards as we slipped to 77 for 6 after 21 overs but what came next was totally unexpected as we amassed 215 off our allotted 40 overs. Bunty aka Dharminder steady the ship with a hard fought 64 off 77 balls which included 4 fours & 2 sixes, in just his second match he scored a vital fifty and without his determined 'I wont get out' attitude he created the base for the magic to start. In comes, Mannu who smashed brilliantly 75 runs off just 51 balls which included 2 fours & 7 sixes, infact he hit 5 sixes in one over as he dispatched the ball into the car park over the midwicket boundary. Bunty & Mannu put on 117 run partnership for the seventh wicket in just 16 overs - a new record breaking 102 made by Nad Rashid & Baljit Suman v Chessington on 21 July 2013.

Bracknell really didn't get going as the Phoenix bowling & fielding was on song with Mannu & Jay taking some excellent catches and all bowlers amongst the wickets. A truly team performance where everyone contributed to the victory.
