Match report Beat Woodlawn by 113 runs. With Sanjeev Kumar still out injured the Phoenix ship is in the hands of our vice captain Sethi Singh. The build up to the game is one to forget & hopefully everyone has learnt lessons on how much organisation it

takes to get a team out. We need to appreciate the behind the scenes work that goes on to allow match day to happen.

Sethi won the toss and had no hesitation in batting first; we didn't know what to expect with our team so scoreboard pressure is always key.

We posted 194 off 33.4 overs with all of the boys making runs. Highlights : Jeeta Dhillon hit 23 (which include 1 four & 2 sixes), Sethi hit 4 fours to his 22, Mannu Singh made a valuable 34 (which included 4 fours & a six) and Hasan top scored

with an essential 40 (which included 5 fours & a six).

Woodlawn couldn't handle the pace and were 3 down soon into their innings. Not long after we had bowled them out for 81 in 25.3 overs. All bowlers took wickets with Yakub taking 1, Mannu with 3, Vikas Haripuriya with 2 and Sethi with 1.

Prince Kairon, Shaun Carter, Baljit Suman & BaBa Bunty Tejvir all played a part in a fun game and even the Woodlawn skipper texted Sanj to say that the boys were a great bunch & a credit to the club.
