Match report Drew against Hampton Wick Royal. The sun was shining but then the rain came down to end what would have been a fantastic run chase for the Phoenix. Sanjeev lost the toss for just only the second time this season and we did well to restrict Hampton Wick Royal to 209. We were 116 for 2 off just 15 overs when the heavens opened and the game was called a draw.

Key highlights were BaBa Bunty Tejvir tight bowling and Sanjeev Kumar 4 wickets who restricted the score after Hampton Wick Royal made a promising start. A lack of discipline allowed the score to pass 200 has some dropped catches & misfields infected the team.

Nether the less we had an excellent run chase with Manpreet 30 which included 6 fours, Vivek Shukla 25 not out which included 5 fours & Paras Bhatia 40 which included 3 fours & a six all batted brilliantly & quickly.

A quick mention for Meher who was a substitute fielder for us. Shame we couldn't win but the love of the game is what we come for.


After the game we all went to celebrate something as Hitesh wanted to show us a new place so as always let the whiskey flow. A time for enjoyment for everyone!
