Match report Game 8 v Hampton Woodlawn as we lost by 2 wickets.

We were put into bat and were in trouble as we lost both Rajkaran and Harman within the first 4 overs. Then on a tricky wicket Goldy showed patience and maturity as he battled hard and made a hard fought off 101 balls which included 7 fours.

Mannu Singh produced the impossible with his third duck in a row, not the hat trick he was looking for.

At tea, we made 182 off our 40 overs and we just needed to bowl and field well. We started our defence brilliantly as we had the opposition at 61 for 6 at the 20 over drinks break. Debasish and Mannu bowled extremely well with combined figures of 16-3-52-5.

That was good as it got as the fielding once again let us down with misfields, dropped catches, not waking in and giving away singles. The basic fielding disciplines are totally alien and missing to this side. Unless we improve we will lose more than we will win.

Hampton Woodlawn chased victory with 8 wickets down and 6 balls to spare. Another game were we snatched defeat from an easy win. #notgoodenough

On a personal note Sanjeev took 1 wicket and is 2 away from 600 wickets for the club. !!
