In a highly anticipated fixture against Prestcold, a team that has been a regular on our schedule since Phoenix was first established in 2005, we delivered an outstanding performance, securing a comprehensive 124-run victory. The match was particularly nostalgic for our founder, Sanjeev Kumar, who has been competing against Prestcold since 1995.

Phoenix Innings:
Opting to bat first, Phoenix posted an imposing total of 262 in their allotted 40 overs. The innings was anchored by Rajkaran Aulakh, who notched up his 10th century for the club and his second for the season. His masterful 103 off 99 balls, which featured 13 boundaries and 2 sixes, set the foundation for a formidable score.

Rajkaran received strong support from Sam Sam, Salman Merchant, who played a swashbuckling knock of 68 off just 49 balls, including 7 fours and 4 sixes. Their partnership was instrumental in propelling the team to a competitive total.

Bowling Performance:
Over the past few weeks, Phoenix's bowling attack has shown marked improvement, and this match was no exception. The bowlers executed their plans effectively, restricting Prestcold to 138 in their run chase.

Mitul Bathia, Vishal Ambersriya, and Ashik kept the pressure on the opposition by maintaining an economical run rate, each contributing with crucial wickets. Sanjeev Kumar, despite being a tad expensive, managed to claim 3 wickets. However, it was Sanjeev Thakur who stood out with a stellar bowling performance, finishing with figures of 6.2-1-17-3.

Fielding Excellence:
Our fielding was exceptional, with key contributions from Hardik, Salman, Rajkaran, and Shantanu Rawat, who took two catches. Shantanu's fielding was a highlight of the match, with a magnificent diving catch at backward point and an impeccable display overall, reminiscent of Ravindra Jadeja.

Hardik made a memorable debut, contributing both with the bat and in the field, taking three catches as wicketkeeper.

Rajkaran was deservedly named Player of the Match for his brilliant century, which laid the foundation for our commanding victory.
