Match report Game 1 v Thames Ditton!

We kicked off the season in style with a commanding 4-wicket win!

After losing the toss, we were put in the field—and we came out blazing. Vishal struck early in his second over, removing a TDCC opener thanks to a safe pair of hands from Mannu Singh, returning to the side after two years.
Our energy in the field was electric, as TDCC were reduced to 105-9 after 26 overs.

Sheraz and Sanjeev combined for a deadly spell, bowling with accuracy and venom: together, they returned remarkable figures of 9-2-34-5. Behind the stumps, Gurpreet was sharp with a catch and a stumping, while Rajkaran was a livewire in the field, contributing with a key catch and a run out.

Mitul kept things tight in the middle overs with an 8-over spell that returned 2 wickets for just 32 runs. Sheraz continued his stellar all-round performance, ending with 3 wickets from 6.3 overs, while Sanjeev also claimed 3 scalps. Despite a late fightback, TDCC were bowled out for 178 in 37.3 overs.

Our chase began with intent as Rajkaran and Chohan set the tone, putting on a quickfire 81-run opening partnership in just 11.5 overs. A brief wobble in the middle saw a flurry of wickets fall, leaving 50 runs still needed.
But the calm heads of Itmadin and Salman steadied the ship, guiding us home with composure.

It was a fantastic team performance with contributions across the board, and a special shoutout to Sheraz Ahmad, who was deservedly named Player of the Match for his spell of bowling under pressure.
