A hard-fought and satisfying 18-run victory for Phoenix CC in the sweltering heat as the boys showed resilience and character to get over the line in a game that was slipping away.

First Innings: Phoenix Batting
The 240-run total in 40 overs was built on small, effective partnerships rather than one standout innings—a real team effort with 39 boundaries keeping the scoreboard ticking. Rajkaran Aulakh anchored the innings with a composed 55 off 60 balls which included 10 fours helped build the foundation.

Striking over 100, the trio of helped set a competitive target despite the heat taking its toll:
• Muhammad Chohan – aggressive at the top
• Vishal-Karna Kumar – fluent stroke play
• Ginni Singh – explosive debut knock of 30 off just 16 balls

Eynsham came out strong, racing to 130-1 after 20 overs, and Phoenix found themselves under serious pressure. The bowling lacked discipline, with extras becoming Eynsham’s second-highest scorer, threatening to undo all the hard work.

But a winning team respond.

Rajkaran Aulakh led by example, bringing himself on and shifting momentum with a pivotal spell of 7-1-25-3! His wickets broke the Eynsham charge, tightening the grip on the game. At the death, Mohammed Chohan delivered under pressure with outstanding bowling to seal the win.
