After a tough few weeks, Phoenix bounced back in style with a true team performance — disciplined bowling, sharp fielding, committed keeping, and measured batting on what was a minefield of a wicket.

Bowling first, the lads were exceptional in restricting Chiswick to just 130 in 35 overs.
• Ginni Dhaliwal led the way with an outstanding spell: 7-3-9-2, and also took 2 catches in the field.
• Ashik backed him up superbly with 7-2-18-3, while Salman (7-1-18-0) and skipper Mitul (7-1-24-1) kept the squeeze on.
• A memorable moment as Jobanpreet took his debut wicket!
• Shyam Pushpanath’s safe hands behind the stumps (not conceding a bye until the 23rd over!) gave confidence to the bowlers throughout.

In the chase, Phoenix showed patience and resilience. On a tricky, low-scoring pitch, Khizar Hayat played a measured knock. He stood tall with a superb 60 of 56 balls which included 11 fours, holding the innings together and ensuring the target was chased down calmly with only 4 wickets lost.

Final thoughts:
This was Phoenix cricket at its best — switched on from the first ball to the last. Everyone contributed, everyone cared, and the captaincy from Mitul Bathia was spot on.
