Match report Game 16 🆚 Magdalen. A disappointing 58 run defeat today as the heat took hold of the players has we just ran out of steam after fielding for over two hours in the sun.

Was a horrible toss to lose and the bowling in the first 16 was just as terrible. At one stage Magdalen were 116 for 1 in the 16th over when Baljit Suman & Sanjeev Kumar got hold of the ball. Sanjeev put the pressure on as his figures were 8-3-21-1 but Babbu bowled excellently taking 4 wickets. Alas we couldn’t restrict them in the final 8 overs and at tea we were chasing 218!for victory.

Special mention to Rajvinder Singh for his first time ever keeping as he took 2 catches and didn’t concede a bye.

The run chase never materialised with 7 wickets costing only 7 runs. On a positive note a brilliant century from Rajkaran Aulakh who hit 14 fours & 3 sixes to reach triple figures in just 81 balls. He held his bat which is another awesome feat to do. Sanjeev came in with 125-9 in the 23rd over and battle hard to help Rajkaran go from 77 to 100 in the 30th.

The tea from Mrs Phoenix Neera Kumar is once again always special & simply delicious!
