Match report Game 21 🆚 Farnham Royal. Lost by 4 wickets as we just didn’t score enough runs but the good thing is we batted first in the heat. At one stage we were 89-1 with scores from Rajkaran Aulakh, Vivek Shukla & Mannu Singh but no one else scored double figures.

After a pizza tea we came defending 121 to win but a crucial drop of the opener cost us the game as he went onto make fifty. At one point we had the opposition at 79-6 but couldn’t take anymore wickets.

The Mannu & Sanjeev partnership blossomed as they bowled extremely well with Mannu figures of 8-2-22-1 and Sanjeev with 8-2-35-3. Sagar Antil took an excellent catch a short mid wicket and Raj showed off his keeping skills with 2 dismissals.

The build up to the game was marred by 5 players dropping out when selected. One was earlier in the week which is not a problem and One was this morning as one player came down very ill which is acceptable.

Alas three of boys pulled out on Friday evening stating other priorities and the struggle the skipper had in getting replacement is something no one cares about. At midnight last night we were still three sort and only this morning was a full squad available. This is not acceptable.
