Our Beginnings
Crane Cricket Club was where we all met and played competitive Sunday friendly cricket with pride, passion and great enjoyment for many years. During the season of 2005 a new vision was formed on how a club should evolve hence a few of the guys embarked upon creating this new club whilst continuing to hold on to all that we all learnt & adopted at Crane.

The First Game

Our first ever game was against Darji on Sunday 30th April 2006 with Darius scoring the first ever run, Varun taking the first ever wicket and Sanjeev taking the first ever catch.

Our Mission Statement

To give all players of all abilities the chance to play cricket at a social level with the onus of having fun, developing their own skills, bettering the team and enhancing Phoenix’s spirit & culture.

Our Objectives
The objectives of the club that will help us achieve our Mission Statement are:

1.       To encourage and promote friendly competetive cricket

2.       To encourage social interacition between all members and other clubs

3.       To organise and provide facilities for the playing of cricket matches

 

Affliations

Phoenix Cricket Club is affiliated to the Club Cricket Conference as well as with both Surrey & Middlesex County Cricket Clubs and the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Future Development
The club has a qualified coach, Sanjeev Kumar, who has attained his ECB UKCC Level 3 Cricket Coaching award. We try help coach the youngsters in our club in both personal development as well as cricketing excellence.
