Phoenix' Tour Highlights :


Batting - Lurch's debut fifty, Oh Terri’s awesome power (highest individual score of 69) and Colombus's consistant run scoring (most runs scored 104).


Bowling – Lurch's immaculate line & length, Sachin's raw pace & first hat-trick (best economical figures 3-2-1-3) and Penelope who took a wicket in every match (most wickets taken 8).


Catching – Casper's flying catch, Skippy & Zebadee in the slips and Stretch's skiers.


Fielding – Mutley in the covers and diving around on the boundary.


Most comical event was Colombus being told he was being dropped by Skippy as a gag.


Biggest Cheer  was for Sachin's hat trick.


‘Where's my kebab?’ award goes to Lurch when he was on all fours outside the kebab shop.


'Where is the camera?' award goes to Mutley after he fell asleep friday nite.


‘Can't stop laughing award!’ award goes to Yogi, Dharmendra and Penelope for when Mutley woke up.


'Where the F**k is he' award goes to Stretch as he made the team wait for him.


‘Oh My God I can't believe it!?’ award goes to Skippy for saying he can't drink no more.


'Please buy me a Tom Tom' award goes to Colombus who got lost everytime he drove to a venue.


'I nearly killed the skipper' award goes to Chukka who hit Skippy on the wrist as he batted and in the face when he bowled.


'We have had enough' award goes to The Nutty Professor who gave detailed reasoning to every ball he bowled, every run he scored, every catch he caught.


'I thought I was in slip' award goes to Dharmendra as he fielded like a slip fielder whilst on the deep cover boundary.


'Shit I havent seen women so close' award goes to Sachin & Casper at the Foam Party.


'The Hat Trick Heros' award goes to Miami, Sachin & Casper who all went down in 3 balls against Exford.

 

'They could be gay' award goes to Mutley and Stretch who never left each others side.


‘Thanks for Coming!’ award goes to Miami.


Prize for the Funniest Name is ‘ET’ (Shiv).


Prize for the Funniest Wig Wearer goes to Zebadee as he looked liked the Afroed Bear from the Hair Bear Bunch.

 

 


Phoenix is slowly uniting as a team and the spirit of this group makes the members want the team to succeed. As Voltaire said: 'Appreciation is a wonderful thing: It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.

 

This First Tour came & passed and yet again everyone showed their true colours and infected everyone involved with laughter, spirit and the sense of having fun.
