Phoenix Cricket Club Lost 25 runs

Match report Game 20 v Indus Valley. Lost by 25 runs as we fell short of chasing 216 for victory.

The two game changing moments was in the field. First we didn’t have a 5th bowler and two the make shift bowlers conceded 54 off just 6 overs.

Second we dropped their number 8 batsman when he was on zero and the score should have been 105 for 7 off 20 overs. Alas this was a costly mistake as he then went onto score 81 in the next 15 overs and also adding 110 to the score.

We were in the run chase but some poor shot selection proved our downfall.

We looked solid with Vishal and Jeeta looking good at the crease but we lost momentum and direction when they got out.

It’s all good shouting from the sidelines saying ‘Smash it’, ‘Easy bowling I can do better’ and ‘Bat me higher up’ when our final 7 batsman only scored 32 runs.

Jeeta Dhillon was excellent with the bat scoring 78 off 67 balls that 12x and 2x!
